Hospitality Tech and Services Leader Vita Mojo Announces Charlie Horrell as CEO

London, UK – January 14, 2025 Vita Mojo, a leading tech partner of ambitious hospitality operators, is pleased to announce the appointment of veteran cloud-software executive Charlie Horrell as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer. Horrell will lead Vita Mojo—whose technology is used by more than 150 restaurant and hospitality brands globally to make their operations more efficient and profitable—into its next growth phase.

Horrell joins Vita Mojo with over 20 years of senior leadership experience, specialising in scaling technology businesses and driving growth. Prior to joining Vita Mojo, Charlie served as the CEO of Imagen, the leading cloud-native media management platform acquired by Reuters in 2023.

In his extensive career, Charlie has demonstrated a deep commitment to innovation, sustainability, and operational efficiency. These values align closely with Vita Mojo’s mission to reshape the hospitality industry through software.

“I am incredibly excited to join Vita Mojo and be part of such a talented team,” said Horrell. “The company has already established itself as a game-changer in the restaurant tech space. I’m looking forward to building upon that legacy while working with the team to transform operations for our customers.”

Horrell succeeds Vita Mojo co-founder and CEO Nick Popovici, who played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s success and growth to date. Under Popovici’s stewardship, the company evolved from an idea to a startup and, ultimately, a pioneer in its field. Vita Mojo partners with established restaurant brands such as Subway, Wasabi, LEON, GAIL’s, and Rosa’s Thai. Additionally, the company supports emerging viral disruptors like Dave’s Hot Chicken in the UK and Sandwich Sandwich, demonstrating its ability to empower industry leaders and rapidly growing brands with cutting-edge technology and tailored consultancy.

“After nearly a decade with Vita Mojo, I feel very proud of everything we have accomplished,” said Popovici. “The company is in a strong position, and I’m confident that Charlie will guide Vita Mojo to its next stage.”

Morad Elhafed, general partner at Battery Ventures and the lead investor in Vita Mojo since 2022, said:

“Charlie has an impressive background and a proven track record of leading high-growth, technology-driven companies. We’re excited to see him take charge at Vita Mojo as the company enters its next phase. We have great confidence in Charlie’s ability to build on the momentum Nick has established, and we’re looking forward to supporting the team in achieving more success in the years ahead.”

As Vita Mojo embarks on this exciting new chapter, the company remains fully committed to its customers and its mission of delivering innovative solutions that empower restaurant businesses to operate more efficiently and profitably. The leadership transition comes during a period of significant momentum for Vita Mojo, marked by 40% year-over-year growth as the company continues to expand its customer base in 2025.
